  1. I like this series. Such amazing patterns. I’m particularly delighted by the third one in the second row – ripple marks in all directions. And the second last one. What did you use to make the collage?

I thought this one would appeal to you Meg. Inspired by your beach posts of course. There are a lot of rock pools on some of the beaches down here that I am only just discovering. I use https://pixlr.com/express/ to create my collages. I find they have some really interesting layouts, but this time I kept it simple.

Lovely montage Jude. The textures are as enjoyable as the soft colour palette 😃

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Su. I was looking for different textures even though my eye kept being drawn back to the patterns around the rock pools.

I think this is a lovely collection of images Jude. Wouldn’t normally connect Cornwall with brown but you have opened my eyes.

We don’t get that lovely white sand that you do and I wouldn’t call this yellow, so brown it had to be, albeit a rather lovely soft beige colour 😀

      My thoughts entirely, Pauline!!

  4. Brown is such an underrated colour. Lovely photos of texture and pattern too 🙂

Another very nice selection. You manage to find some compelling images in small stretches of sand that most of us would just walk past without noticing.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

Thanks Pete. I am always on the lookout for patterns and textures. I keep hoping to find something interesting in one of the rock pools, but so far it hasn’t happened.

This is so very pleasing for all sorts of reasons – textures, muted tones, the way the images work together, the seaweed like Chinese calligraphy – lovely, Jude.

  8. Tide pools are such wonderful places for discovery! And makes for a lovely Brown collage.

      Many thanks PP.

  9. When I was a kid there was an American television show called Queen for a Day. Today you’re the Queen of Cornwall Colors.”
