  1. A quite charming notice to trespassers!

Got to take care where you walk along here as the cliff is eroding quite badly and the NT keep having to move the footpath!

  2. restlessjo says:

I certainly will! Thanks for the invitation. 🙂 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

I doubt that even barbed wire will keep you out! 😀

        Thanks! 🙂 🙂

    A lovely photograph Jude!

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Adrian. Can’t resist a bit of rust and lichens!

The contrasting textures and muted tones are so vivid. I don’t know why I’m so fond of barbed wire in photos, but it does make for a bit of drama. Great shot.

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Tish. I love barbed wire and rust – even better if there is a bit of sheep’s wool caught in it!

      1. Tish Farrell says:

Oh definitely with the sheep’s wool 🙂

  5. Sue says:

Oh, I love this composition, Jude. Such delicious textures….

    1. Heyjude says:

The textures are what drew my eye Sue, that worn wood, the rusty wire, the two different lichens and the dead flowers. So much going on!

      1. Sue says:

        Precisely! My kind of thing….

  6. Great shot Jude. I love the rusty wire and lichen

    1. Heyjude says:

      I can’t resit Karen!

  7. Very dramatic! It’s interesting that the wire on the left of the post is rusty, but the wire on the right isn’t. Someone been doing repairs perhaps?

    1. Heyjude says:

I expect so Elaine, the coastal path has been detoured here because of cliff erosion.

      1. Cliff erosion is quite a worry – especially if your property is near the edge. I saw something recently on tv about people’s gardens disappearing into the sea. I can’t remember where that was though.

        1. Heyjude says:

I think it is happening pretty much all around our coast. I wouldn’t buy a house too near the edge!

        2. A house at least half a mile from the edge might be sensible. 🙂

  8. I love this artistic photo, Jude, especially with the rusty wire next to the new wire, the moss on the post, and the blurred wildflowers. Nice! 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Cathy, so many textures happening in this shot. I was quite excited to see how this came out.

  9. Joanne Sisco says:

Not that it’s ever stopped me … 😉

    1. Heyjude says:

You and a few others I know would skip over rusty barbed wire… the company I keep!!

  10. A forbidding photo, Jude. 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

Not as forbidding as the electric fence opposite, but that wasn’t anywhere near as photogenic!
