Near to the Hayle estuary (The Bluff) is a designated Kitesurfing zone. I knew that it is not safe to swim in the river and the estuary due to fast running currents, but I had no idea that kite surfing went on here. Makes perfect sense as there are no swimmers or surfers to get in the way and the shallow estuary waters make it perfect to skim along the surface. The flat beach is backed by high sand dunes and Marram grass and stretches the three or so miles to Gwithian sands and Godrevy lighthouse.

I like watching kite surfing and it looks like a perfect day 🙂
It was lovely; breezy and not that warm, but the sun was shining and the sea was sparkling and the water was warm enough to paddle in 🙂
