    What another beauty: all those small dark figures beautifully centred between sand and sky. Especially the running one just off centre.

          Yes. I was on my way to the hospital again on Tuesday afternoon when I got a call to say not to go. She got through a critical 24 hours but then died this afternoon.

    Using B&W adds a timeless feel to the shot. Reminiscent of some of my family’s holiday photos from the late 1950s.
