They certainly add character to old buildings, as well as the appealing colours.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

  2. It’s amazing how quickly they grow on new roofs… particularly where seagulls perch

  3. restlessjo says:

Nice contrast with the blue πŸ™‚

  4. I see the building is the salt cellar. Does that mean lichens taste salty?

  5. Lynn says:

Jo took the words right out of my mouth, such a gorgeous contrast to the blue!

  6. jules says:

I’m sure I heard from somewhere that the lichen only grows where the air is pure?

    1. Heyjude says:

Well it is pretty clear around here! Lots of sea breezes πŸ™‚

  7. Lucid Gypsy says:

Nice colours and I like the ‘sculpture man’ up by the chimneys too!

  8. Was just going to say the same – love the contrast between the orange and blue!

  9. Very pleasing to the eye, Jude. What is that man doing up there?

    1. Heyjude says:

Gilly mentioned a man too, couldn’t work out what she meant, but looking at the photo I guess you are both referring to the telegraph pole on the right, which actually does look a bit like a man!

      1. Well, that seagull doesn’t seem to be afraid of him. πŸ˜…

  10. bushboy says:

    I like lichens too
