Harbour life

On Wednesday my middle and youngest son were down in Cornwall along with d-i-l and youngest granddaughter. After a couple of hours larking around on the beach near Godrevy lighthouse we set off for Mousehole on the opposite side of the peninsula to view the fabulous harbour Christmas lights. Being a little early we headed for a pub for coffee and cake for the ladies and a pint for the boys then wandered around Mousehole harbour.

Where I had a little wander between the rope tethered fishing boats.

There is nothing I like better than finding a rusty keel and peeling paint.

I haven’t been to Mousehole since the early 1980s. A local lady in a tea shop told me off for pronouncing it ‘Mouse-Hole’, instead of ‘Mousle’.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

Nothing is what it seems down ‘ere 😀

  2. We never made it to Mousehole – another reason we need to return!

It is a pretty village but like St Ives mostly populated with holiday homes. Some nice galleries.

Hahaha I took peeling paint boat photos a couple of days ago, great minds . . .

  4. Your blog about Cornwall is such a delight to read. And here I am stuck in London. Time to perhaps upsticks and move west! Great photos by the way.
