Late afternoon on the first day of the Meteorological winter this view was taken from my favourite viewpoint at the top of Trencrom Hill.
With the sun disappearing behind a large cloud I was able to turn my lens to the south-west and capture the crepuscular rays. Always a delight.
Gorgeous and isn’t crepuscular a juicy word?
I agree. ‘Crepuscular’ is a great word, and aptly describes those rays of light.
Best wishes, Pete. x
What a gorgeous view, Jude! And a great capture. 🙂
Jude this is such a lovely picture! Thanks for stopping at my blog and Happy Holidays. 🙂 Jackie
How beautiful. I love the word ‘crepuscular’ and I’m going to use it all the time now. I didn’t know there was a name for when the rays of the sun look like that. I’ve heard them called ‘the hand of God’ which I rather like too.
I think they are known as God’s rays or Fingers of God, but I prefer sunbeams 🙂
Ha! Me and Sue will be fighting to sit next to you again 🙂 Now, what shall I bring this time?
