It’s quite relaxing living in the countryside and close to the coast. The pace of life is much slower down here which can sometimes make it stressful when you want a job doing quickly. A stroll on a deserted beach, or along the cliff-top with views of the ocean below, soon soothes the mind, but my favourite place to go to where I can sit and meditate in peace and quiet and simply breathe is but a short walk away.
Where even on the first day of winter in the late afternoon, the views cast a spell.
What a view. The epitome of relax!
A lovely sky, Jude. The countryside does have its benefits indeed!
Best wishes, Pete. x
Especially when you have a good viewpoint close by!
Stunning colours!
That is one serious postcard of a view, Jude! Can I come and share it one day? π Such a beautiful shot!
Of course you may. Clouded over again today now though, so don’t hurry down…
And me, please!!
Now look! This could end up being subtitled ‘a crowd on a hill’ π π
Well, so what….the more the merrier π§
I’ll only be merry if Jude’s bringing some fortification π π Are you a mulled wine connoisseur, or hot chocolate with brandy?
GlΓΌhwein was good in the cold days of winter on ski trips, back in the day….
I’ve never skied. Well only dry ski slope and I dislocated a thumb. You have the gluhwein. I’ll bring the hot chocolate with something a little stronger π
Oh, this won’t be any ordinary GlΓΌhwein….
I’ll have some of both! π π
ππ
Hot chocolate with a splash of brandy or baileys for me please.
That you shall have, Gilly!!
Beautiful contribution!
Thank you, glad you like it π
Oh Jude…. Make a bit more room on the bench. I’ll join you and Jo and Sue, and I promise not to talk and break the spell. It’s beautiful.
No bench up here Carole, you have to sit on the ground or one of the rocks. Bring a cushion!!
I’ll bring my folding chair, complete with folding table attached on the side upon which I will place my drink!
Oh, no! Not another one on the booze!
Now, which one are you – mulled wine or hot chocolate with extra? Or maybe hot mulled cider? π π
I’m not used to your frigid temperatures so I have to stay warm somehow. Hot chocolate sounds good, but I’ve never tried hot mulled cider so perhaps that would be nice.
I may give that a go this Christmas – I’ll let you know what it is like!
. . . and me please nicely!
Gosh it IS getting crowded up here!
Well this is a frameable beauty!
Perhaps postcard size! A bit noisy.
Fantastic sky. It’s relaxing if you want it to be, or energising if that’s what you prefer, too.
Lovely, I would find that very relaxing.
