Thank you Pete. I must head down to the estuary and see what we have down there. I think I glance black-tailed Godwits when I drove by. I don’t really have the lens for bird-watching though. You need a really powerful zoom for that, unless you are lucky and they are close by.
A beautiful view, Jude. I’m absolutely fascinated by the behaviour of birds. I love the winter on the coast. Late and early flocks of geese fly over the house, what a lovely sound they make!
Phew! I couldn’t stand the heat on the court so I went and cooked up a Parmigiana in the kitchen! Now I have to go out and collect OH back from Shropshire 🙂
Nice capture, Jude. I love watching the rise and fall and the symphonic rhythm of birds in flight. How beautiful. And how did you do that frame? Is that a special photo app, or did you do that in WordPress?
I wonder where they are going? Or where they are coming from? We will see big flocks of unknown birds and they mesmerize me too. I always wonder how they don’t crash into one another.
Nicely captured, Jude. And it looks good in the frame too.
Best wishes, Pete. x

Little foreign birds?
They come from Russia and Scandinavia (and Iceland too but apparently they tend to stick to Scotland and northern Ireland).
Oh, OK!

I was fascinated by the geese over your coast. I saw some here in February /March but none so far this autumn. Their sound is magical.
Cool, atmospheric photos Jude, the birds are really busy at the moment, it’s as if they’re having a late autumn party.
Yesterday hundreds were lined up on the power lines in the mist. It’s a wonder they don’t bring the lines down!
I’m not good at twitching but I love the russet colour on the hillside. 🙂
Yes, the landscape has changed colour yet again, the bracken now matches the engine house chimney.
I was out pestering them leaves again this afternoon. 🙂 Currently got half an eye on Mr. Murray, a set down to Nishikori. A 1 hour 20 minute tussle 😦
Murray should have won that tie-break, but as usual his temperament gets the better of him.
Is it on the Beeb as well? I’m watching on Sky.
It is but transmission will probably end before the end of the match.
Eek! Not easy to call right now 😦

The frame was just created in Photoshop Elements by enlarging the canvas and then putting the black border on in WP.
I love it!
Thank you 🙂

Just fished you out of the Spam bin Sue – naughty girl, what have you been up to? 😀 😀
Oh dear I’m always on an adventure. I don’t like that Spam bin very much at all. Thanks for the rescue!
You’re welcome. Just try and stay out of trouble 🙂
That’s a tall order my friend. 🙂
😀
I love your birds-dotting-the-sky posts.
Lots of birds dotting the sky at the moment – I love them too 😀
Great photo 👍
