Just a few photos from my garden this month.

So many flowers that attract the bees and flies – hoverflies, butterflies, iridescent blue and green flies.
And yes, a fewย of them are wild flowers which some people might class as weeds, but I’m happy to give them room whilst they provide such rich pickings for the insects.

Wow! Such beautiful work!
I must plant some flowers in our garden one day!
A lovely display, Jude. I am sure your outlook is lovely.
Regards as always, Pete. x
You don’t have any flowers in your garden? I know you have issues with your lawn. And the acorns. You should get rid of the lawn and create a lovely gravel garden with a bench to relax on. ๐
We have some tulips, daffs and violets, as well as some flowering shrubs and a small herb area. At the front are three rose bushes that flower well too. That’s about it.
Flowering shrubs are good. I like shrubs and perennials, that just do their own thing, except for an occasional pruning. I like roses too but find them hard work to keep looking good.
I see some delightful wild flowers, but no weeds!
Well I suppose the mint and the crocosmia could be classed as weeds if they become too invasive!
Definitely you are the queen of macros, Jude. These are all superb. ๐
Ah, thank you Sylvia. You are pretty good at them yourself and have plenty of wildlife to choose from.
Your headers are always so lovely! Especially like the agapanthus though. We have some too. ๐
I have no idea what you have been up to Jo, but I have found your comments in ALL of my blogs Spam! How weird is that? I think some of mine disappeared the other day too. I’m a little disappointed with the agapanthus this year, only two flowers. I think I’ll repot it in the spring or maybe even try it in the ground if I can make some room. I do like them, they remind me of Africa.
I had my suspicions! Remember I mentioned Meg and spam? When I wrote the comments they weren’t visible afterwards. Nor did it say they would be visible after approval. I became the Invisible Woman ๐ Neat trick!
I wonder why? It’s not as though you have never commented on my blogs before. Sylvia (Ad) received the same treatment.
Nice to have another Invisible Woman for company. I could do much worse! Sue Slaught has apparently had problems with her posts not showing up in the Reader so grateful for small mercies. ๐ I AM showing up in your Reader, I take it? Good job it’s just for fun.
Sue’s site seems to have changed rather dramatically, maybe that is the reason. Yes your posts show up, and your comments seem to be fine now. I’m just behind in reading other blogs!
Tssk! ๐ ๐
Blame it on the garden! Once I get out there with secateurs in one hand and camera in the other I can lose half a day easily!
I just gallivant and let the garden grow ๐ ๐
I just gallivant and let the garden grow.. but I may have already said that ๐
I just found Jo in my Spam folder too! Very mysterious.
She appears to be lurking everywhere! I wonder what she did to upset WP ๐
It is odd, isn’t it? I read on another blog that someone was having trouble with comments going into spam – so perhaps WP are just trying to keep us all on our toes!
I think I disappeared a few times last week! Hopefully someone will rescue me at some point ๐
It’s a mystery. I’ll have to remember to check my spam more regularly.
Me too!
Beautiful flowers, I enjoy a round in your garden.
These are gorgeous Jude! Smashing photographs!
Coming from you Adrian that is a huge compliment – thank you ๐
The close up shots are wonderful, and your garden must be looking lovely just now.
Starting to fade a little, but still some colour (and the million nasturtiums!) but I am noting what is in flower when so next year I can try and plug any gaps.
Nasturtiums are lovely – I wonder why I never think to grow them? I remember them from childhood. You are very organised to be making notes – I mean to do it every year, but fail.
These nasturtiums are very much out of control! But they do look nice in the gravel parking area.
I am having visions of a gang of nasturtiums rampaging across your garden – shouting and drinking and generally behaving inappropriately!
That’s pretty much how it is ๐
Elaine you might want to check your comment spam folder – you might find me hiding again!!
You can tell that I haven’t been keeping up with reading comments over the last week! Sorry – you are fished out now.
Thank you! I hate being cooped up ๐
