Not only are some of the street names in St Ives a little different, many of them are very narrow, or simply passages leading from one lane to another; as you can see a lot of them are steep cobbled hills or flights of steps.
What a hoot! I love your presentation of this, Jude 🙂 I’m steering clear of Skidden Hill. Too many landings on the derriere 🙂 Salubrious is such an expressive word! Teetotal? Never in all this world! Happy weekend!
Hahaha… yes you’d do well to avoid that one. I think you’d like the Wharf or Lifeboat Hill perhaps 🙂
You made me think of the poem “As I Was Going To St. Ives” 🙂 Thanks for that 🙂
Great way to structure the post, Jude. So creative. Teetotal Street? Is that where the wowsers live? And it has to be said that it is almost impossible to read the name “St Ives” without adding “As I was going to” in your head.
