    1. Heyjude says:

And I have not had either, so far!

    2. restlessjo says:

I was thinking- an interesting combination 🙂 🙂

  2. Chillbrook says:

I’ve had that breakfast on the beach after a couple of dawn shoots at Godrevy. Very good it was! 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

Nothing nicer than a bacon bap, apart from a bacon, sausage and egg bap!

      1. Chillbrook says:

I think that’s what I had Jude. Getting up at 3.30 to make Godrevy by dawn, by the time I was done taking pictures nothing short of the full works would have done! 🙂

  3. Wow, you’re spoiled for choice aren’t you? I can imagine lazy summers galore 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

if it wasn’t for all the grockles I’d be down there every day 😉

      1. Bwaahaha I Feel the same about Fis Hoek every summer. For months in a row but more so in December. We of course call them “Vaalies” even if they don’t hail from Gauteng (formerly the good ole

        1. Heyjude says:

I remember that from Muizenberg! Not an inch to spare on the beach 😉

        2. It’s even worse nowadays. Which is why I try and travel abroad 🙂

        3. Heyjude says:

Is your son still over in Thailand?

        4. No he’s back. Getting married in December.

        5. Heyjude says:

          How exciting 🙂

  4. joannesisco says:

    A cornucopia of signs!!

    1. Heyjude says:

      Oh, I love that word!

      1. joannesisco says:

Me too. There are never enough opportunities to use it 🙂

        1. Heyjude says:

Well I am glad to provide you with an opportunity 😀

  5. A brilliant idea, Jude. No doubt I’ll imitate in some way some day! With due acknowledgement of course – if I can remember the origin. It gives a real feel for the place.

    1. Heyjude says:

Well actually Meg you did sort of give me the idea with your miscellany post. I had all these signs and wondered what I could do with them. So truthfully I should be acknowledging YOU!

    1. Heyjude says:

      I have more!

      1. jennypellett says:

        Ooh, goody. Part two, then?

        1. Heyjude says:

Maybe I’ll see what Penzance has to offer me.

  6. Lucid Gypsy says:

Breakfast on the beach will do nicely!

    1. Heyjude says:

      Oh, yes. One day…

  7. Dry well behaved dogs…that made me laugh.

    1. Heyjude says:

I also love the one about not letting them bark!

  8. What a great idea for a post! The sign that says ‘Poppy Treffry’ intrigues me – a gallery? a tearoom? a craft shop?

    1. Heyjude says:

No idea! I shall have to look out for it next time I am in the town.

      1. A good reason for a return visit! 🙂

  9. Sue Slaght says:

So fun to see all of these Jude. Here’s a likely dumb question, What is a bacon bap? Or an egg bap for that matter?

    1. Heyjude says:

A bap is a soft, flat bread roll – you just fill it with the breakfast of your choice. Saves using a plate 😉

      1. Sue Slaght says:

Well that seems like a brilliant idea! 🙂

        1. Heyjude says:

          Tasty too 🙂
